S4MST3R
ParticipantHello
Why does the beep to signify that you’ve stopped / ended recording come out audibly on the output files? It’s rather odd and something I’ve not seen on any other cam. Having to trim it out of clips for the time being. Weird that it only comes out at when you stop and not when you start

Moderatorwhich version of the firmware are you using S4MST3R? I haven’t experienced this with either of my cameras, I’m editing on a PC, shooting MP4 file types and currently doing a comparison test with the latest two versions of firmware to check the differences for my own style of shooting.

KeymasterHey guys,
This has been added to the next firmware update. It is annoying! Please bear with us, as we are just ironing out some other little glitches too. The fix is not far away though, i will post on here when its due for release.

ParticipantAny update on the fix for this please? On my second OLFI, I get part of the start beeps coming out on the output file as well as the end beeps……………strange as my first camera captured the end beeps only
It may seem like a small matter but having to trim the ends of each clip is becoming tedious. An example of the beeps being captured can be heard HERE

KeymasterThe update will be out in the next couple of weeks. We are just ironing out some firmware glitches. You could revert back to v2.2 in the meantime (its available on the download page). If you are subscribed, you will get a notification when the firmware is released.
Kindest Regards

KeymasterI’ve got a present for you Sam! Its the original beta version of the new firmware with no audible beeps. 🙂
It’s due for some further modification on a couple of bits before its released to everyone, but this is negligible really. However, as a favourite of mine, i’m happy to send you this version. You can be a tester 🙂
Send me an email info@olficamera.com so i can send you the file via email. It’s still going to need updating again when the full version is ready but it’ll stop your editing headache immediately!

ParticipantJust updated to 2.7 on my new Olfi and I am getting the beeps. Help!!

KeymasterHey there,
This will fix that. It’s the latest firmware version which addresses a couple of minor bug fixes but most importantly, the beeps will be gone 🙂

I will add this to the Main website in a couple of days, i’m just writing some bits to go along side it but its the proper version 🙂

ParticipantHey Triton – many thanks for the email the other day. Confirming that I’ve updated to v3.2 and testing is going well (no end recording beeps)
Not used the one.five since August due to this issue, so good to be using it again
Quick one: can I adjust the playback volume when reviewing files on the camera itself? I can hear audio, but it’s very very quiet. Can’t recall if this is a feature or not?
Thanks for your support…………………..Sam
