ParticipantYes – the issue was resolved with one of the software updates

ParticipantHi Gregor – yes OLFI took my original unit back and sent me a replacement which is absolutely fine now – no vibrating noise at all
Also, the latest firmware update has resolved my ‘beep at the end of the recording file issue’ and also I seem to have a little more time to swap batteries over before date / time data is lost
All great now!

ParticipantHey Triton – many thanks for the email the other day. Confirming that I’ve updated to v3.2 and testing is going well (no end recording beeps)
Not used the one.five since August due to this issue, so good to be using it again
Quick one: can I adjust the playback volume when reviewing files on the camera itself? I can hear audio, but it’s very very quiet. Can’t recall if this is a feature or not?
Thanks for your support…………………..Sam

ParticipantNow I’ve resolved my audio / vibration issue with the replacement OLFI provided (which also fixed the seemingly short battery swap window to retain date and time) I’m pretty happy with the One.Five as an action camera so far
I’m particularly impressed with the battery life which is +60% better than my GoPro even with image stabilisation active
My biggest wish is for improvements within the OLFI mobile application. It just about works, however teases me with an edit function that hangs the application every time I try to use it
About to go touring for a couple of weeks so will use in anger and feedback

ParticipantMany thanks Triton

ParticipantAny update on the fix for this please? On my second OLFI, I get part of the start beeps coming out on the output file as well as the end beeps……………strange as my first camera captured the end beeps only
It may seem like a small matter but having to trim the ends of each clip is becoming tedious. An example of the beeps being captured can be heard HERE

ParticipantHello Richard. I’m not familiar with Samsung tablets, but I do know that the OLFI camera will record in two selectable file formats – .mp4 and .MOV – these are selectable from the VIDEO FILE FORMAT of the Settings menu
If your tablet doesn’t support either of these formats natively then there are many video converters around that will convert

ParticipantHi Mike – you can delete individual files on the camera
Use ‘DELETE CURRENT’ or ‘DELETE ALL’ from the Camera itself. From within the Playback mode, press and briefly hold the down arrow button on the side of the camera to activate the delete options for the file you are viewing

ParticipantThis noise / vibration issue seems to be getting worse. In THIS video you can clearly hear it throughout the footage
Yes, the noise is matching my revs but it’s not my exhaust. There’s an element of vibration but other cameras don’t do this. I’ve ruled out the suction mount, because if I use an old GoPro with the same OLFI mount I get completely clean audio
If I can’t resolve this and the constant having to reset date and time every time I swap out a battery I don’t think my relationship with this camera is going to last very long š

ParticipantHello – no, whilst providing permanent power to the camera is possible – it is not practical as I ride many different machines

ParticipantIs there any update on this? Today I’ve been on track, swapping battery after two sessions. It’s almost impossible, most definitely more hard work than it should be to piece my files back together into a chronological order to start an edit
I’ve re-installed latest firmware and still can’t do a battery swap without data and time resetting

Participant…. and the commute back home
If 25% of drivers commuted by bike, congestion would be completely eliminated š

ParticipantI’ve upped a file named as you suggested. You will hear the noise quite clearly twice in the brief clip I’ve created. The camera is mounted using the suction mount to the screen. Nothing seems loose. This example is not as intrusive as it has been at other times – maybe as I’ve been playing with audio sensitivity. I don’t keep much footage and tend to delete each day so will get some more footage that features the noise for you

ParticipantHello Helen
I’m running firmware v1.7 from 8th April 2018. No matter how quickly I try to do the swap over, I can’t preserve the data / time settings

ParticipantThat timelapse from inside the vehicle looked so good. I can’t seem to achieve such smoothness – do you remember your video timelapse settings at all?
